Wedding / Renewal Ceremonies
TOUCH OF HAWAII….Our couples have enjoyed our basic,non-denominational ceremony that speaks to the spirituality, love and romance of the islands. It includes a complimentary lei exchange of beautiful wedding orchids with ti leaf keepsake rosettes, a petal release at the conclusion of the ceremony, and a Hawaiian blessing. .A beautiful Hawaiian-motif wedding certificate suitable for framing in a white and gold binder is included with each wedding
TOUCH OF THE TRADITIONAL…We can add traditional Christian or New Thought emphasis to our ceremonies… or… we invite you to write your own vows,and/ or include your own readings or poetry..
Special ceremonies to add to your Wedding or Renewal
In addition, we can offer these special island treasures as part of your ceremony experience:
CONCH SHELL CEREMONY… Our authentic conch shell blower precedes the bride walking to the ceremony chanting a Hawaiian marriage blessing (oli), and blows the conch to 3 directions. The blower concludes the wedding ceremony by blowing the conch to the final direction, chanting a final blessing to the occasion. An enchanting Hawaiian tradition for any wedding or renewal. (Fee: $250 + tax)
SANDS OF KAUAI...A lovely table is set with matching nautilus shells full of Kauai sand....as you pour from the individual containers into the one, we celebrate the joining of your souls in Love. This is a unique island ceremony of Sacred Union, and includes a keepsake container to take home. (Fee: $50 plus tax)
PRESENTATION OF GOLD ANCIENT WEDDING LEIS…Exchange of 14k gold pendants handcrafted especially for you on the island of Kauai…The sacred Maile vine entwined with Mokihana berries is the “wedding lei” of the Hawaiian Islands. Worn by men and women, this legendary lei has symbolized the union of marriage since ancient days. Includes beautiful scroll keepsake certificate. (Fee: $295 + tax a piece. Truly elegant.)
OHANA CEREMONY …In the Hawaiian tradition, we honor ancestors, family, children, and include them in spirit in your celebration, whether present in person or not. With your agreement, we can honor those special dear ones present with leis during the ceremony. It is a sign of respect, inclusion and honor....to parents, those who "stand up" with the wedding couple, and children....each lei is $20, and we bring the leis to the ceremony for you....You award the leis to your family during the ceremony. (This is, of course, optional!!)
OTHER BLESSING CEREMONIES....We can especially honor those who are about to be born, or those who have recently been deceased.....during your wedding ceremony. During your ceremony, we can especially honor those who wish to be BAPTISED, or those you wish to be MEMORIALIZED. As an ordained minister and chaplain, Rev. Suzanne uses flowers, shells, and scripture to help celebrate your dear family.
